Introduction to Sound Healing

for Reiki Practitioners

This fifteen-hour experiential course will transform your energetic connection to the world through sound and sound healing. Each week, we study the theory, practice, and skill development of different aspects of energy healing with sound and frequency. We begin with theory, going back to Boethius and Pythagoras, then move on to breath and voice, with humming, toning, and chanting, we work with tuning forks (weighted and unweighted), singing bowls (metal, crystal, and handheld), chimes, monochord, harp, gongs, and drums. And, finally, we study the world of sound baths–experiencing what makes an effective sound bath, for private sessions and groups.

A certificate of completion is earned only for the full participation, over the five weeks.

Students may bring their own tuning forks, singing bowl(s), monochord(s), or drums (no gongs or harps, please). However, Eloia Healing Arts will also have instruments for you to use during class. The only instrument REQUIRED for this class is a beginner set of tuning forks (weighted and unweighted).

PRE-REQUISITE: All participants must be Reiki I, Reiki II, OR Reiki III/RMT. Any school or lineage is acceptable. This class integrates Reiki healing energies with sound healing. Reiki I attunement is the minimum for this class.

Tuning Forks

Each student must have their own beginner set of tuning forks, which includes both weighted and unweighted instruments. If you would like to purchase the beginner set from Eloia Healing Arts, you can do so for an additional fee of $140.00. Choose this option when you register…or bring your own with you to the second class.

The beginner tuning fork set includes four high-quality tuning forks made by BioSonics: C256 & G384 (unweighted body tuners), Otto 128 (weighted), and 192 Hz (G).
