Clients and students will often share they are on a spiritual path of clearing out the chaotic energies in their lives. This undertaking is admirable and certainly very desirable, particularly at this time. However, they often conclude their intention with a statement that goes something like, “I am releasing everything and everyone that no longer serves me.” I am puzzled by this statement and its implication that we are here to be served. This concept has led me to an inner investigation of the nature of service within my Reiki practice.

During a self-healing session and meditation a few years ago, I was shown the lovely rainbow spectrum of the chakras and was clearly told, “This is the un-healed system.” I was reminded that here, on Earth, we are in a lower vibrational state, a state of separation and that this is not the Higher Truth. I was asked to teach this differently....

Reflecting on the infinite number of times I am loosened from my center by the gaze of judgment, the hurting beings around me, the indignation of co-shoppers, the rage of co-travelers on life’s roadways, the feeling-soup in which I myself find to be simmering as I read news headlines or try to make my way right through queues, questions, and quandaries, I prayed for assistance...

The Way of our own Ascension may very well be in the journey between two chakras, the solar plexus and the heart. To live in the energy of Christ Consciousness, Buddha Consciousness, Divine Presence, or Love, the individual will dive down into the lower chakras and locate the Presence of Love, wherever it has been residing. Raise that love, and bring it Home, where Divine Love reigns, in the Heart.

Reiki is not strengthened in transference through human form. Divine energy is already infinitely unlimited in strength and potential and is not amplified through the human lineage. This energy circuit is not Reiki and has more in common with magic than healing. Be careful dear brothers and sisters of Divine Presence Reiki.
